Hello everyone, today I thought I would share the last of the Unity World Cardmaking Day challenges in one post.
Challenge 6 was all about using a non border stamp to create a border. I decided to use the snowman stamp from MLS/Unity.
First I stamped three of the snowman standing next to each other and then stamped them again on some scrap paper which I used as a mask. I placed these over the front snowmen before I stamp another one over the top. This way you get the layered look.
Challenge 7 was challenging you to get out your colours. Having just received some of the Kuretake Kurecolors I decided to try them out. I loved the way they blended and gave some really cool effects when mixing the colours.
Here I used the 'Live, Life, Laugh Girl' stamp and gave the top a rainbow top using the pens.
And the final Challenge 8 was a colour challenge to use Cream, Brown, Olive and Pumpkin as the primary colour combo. Needless to say I used the mushroom stamp again and teamed it with one of the Papermania Capsule collections. The colours suited this challenge perfectly. I also decided to use the technique that I did for the MLS website and paper pieced the mushroom.
I embossed the olive card with a Papermania Embossing folder before adding it to the card.
I have really enjoyed playing along with these challenges and I really must get some more of the Unity Stamps, don't you think!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Beckie :)
