A few demo cards to share

Hello There!
This weekend has been busy but we have been blessed that the sun shone!  On Saturday I was over in Glasgow at Millers Art store demonstrating the DO Crafts products they have for sale.  It was lovely to see familiar faces along with some new ones too :)

Here are a few of the cards that I was demoing ... first up is the Papermania Ahoy There range.  If you are anything like me and love all things 'beachy' and heading down the beach to chill out then you will love this range.

I had great fun creating this little beach hut that is simply made from cutting a few corners off a 5 x 7 kraft card blank.

The next range is the Home To Nest which is all about gardening and birds.  It's the colours of this range that made me love working with these.

On this card I used the new Xcut palm punches too to create the little flowers on the edges.

And there was also another addition to the Capsule Collection, this time the Brights Spots and Stripes.  Perfect for crafting on a dull day as these papers are SO bright and cheerful!

The little flowers are made using the Xcut palm punch again and I embellished the centres with some of the polka dot buttons.

So thank you to all who came and said 'hello', I hope you were inspired to get creative with the Do Crafts product!

Enjoy the rest of the day!!

Art Deco Do Craft Style!

Hello everyone!
Today I am popping on to show you some of the cards that I shared at my demo this weekend at Cardwell garden centre.
Nearly everyone I have met at my demos recently have been 'dying' to get their crafty mitts on this range!  It's one of the new releases from Do Crafts .....

So are you a fan of Art Deco and have you purchased some of the new range to create with?
I love how you can make every day cards or add a splash of red and a Christmas topper and you have a 'holiday' card too!

The new Creativity! magazine has some great inspiration for creating masks, jewellery and table settings to coordinate with this range.

Hope you are having a really crafty day!
Beckie :)

This weekend I was demoing for Do Crafts at two of the Dobbies stores and met some lovely ladies (and gents) all eager to play with the new stamps and embossing folders!  And funnily enough they were loving the Papermania Silver Tinsel embossing powder! ;)

I am busy getting cards ready for World Cardmaking Day and will be taking part in another blog hop hosted by Gill McCall.  There are so many people taking part that this is going to be a week long hop with loads of inspiration!  So please do come and join us!

Easter Basket and Card

Finally my camera and computer are working together!! I have been wanting to post this to my blog for a while but technology has not been playing nicely together!!

I made this card and Easter basket for when I went up to for my Do Crafts demo at Howden's in Inverness last Saturday. I wanted to show how you can use the Papermania papers for anything! The Pampered Pets papers are just perfect for Easter and the pastel colours look beautiful together.

The basket is made from a piece of 6 x 6 inch paper. I scored it at 2 inch around each side, next cut a long the lines shown in the diagram. Next I glued together section A to B leaving the middle piece on the inside. Repeat this with C and D. For the handle cut a 1 inch strip of paper and secure inside the basket. Finish by decorating the basket as you wish!

The Xcut Rebekah Lace die is perfect for using as a embellishment for the sides of the handles along with some Papermania Capsule petals.
I used the lace die again for the central piece of my card along with the Pampered Pets 8 x 8 decoupage set.

Hope you have fin creating Easter goodies and hopefully not eating too many eggs!!!

Going Retro!

These retro forever friends bears are just fun and remind me of when I was younger and hoping that some one would give me a special wee bear. It never happened but I made up for it myself!! Hee Hee!

I had fun making this simple birthday card for my demos this loop. The card blank is one of the embossed cards from the Good Life range. I added some gingham paper from the paper pack before I added a topper from the A4 pack which I backed on blue coredinations. The greeting is from the die cut greetings sheets. I finished off the card by using the Good Life journal stamp set to stamp the frank and the postage stamp on to some blue coredintaions card stock which I then cut out around the edges before adhering to the card with foam pads.
This whole range from Do Crafts is perfect for all types of crafters. The element stickers are fabulous and covers loads of occassions!
Hope you have a crafty day .... I will as I am prepping for my demo at Howdens Garden Centre in Inverness this Saturday!

Last year DO Crafts launched the campaign Craft for Life in aid of Cancer Research and this year they are doing it again. It's away that all our craftyness can help to raise money for this worthy cause.
Papermania have also launched Tweet, which has a set of clear stamps and a create a card kit. If you buy one or both of these Do Crafts will donate £1 for each create a card or £2 for each clear stamp set sold! Wowzers, that just makes you want to do out and purchase these and get creating!!

I love the stamp set and set to work creating with them and the new Papermania ink pads and came up with this tag. This has been inked and inked some more!! Don't ya just love getting messy!! I know I do :)

This card was made using the Create a Card kit and is a perfect wee kit to pop in your handbag if your ever find yourself needing a little crafty fix ... all you need to do it add glue and scissors!

Canoes and Cardwell

Do you know since we moved back to Scotland it seems as though our lives have been taken over by busy bees I am truly blessed that we have so much to smile about.
This weekend has been no different even though the body was calling me to just have 5 more minutes to relax on Saturday morning. DH was working over the weekend with a come and try day at the centre so we book out a Canadian canoe and took to the water. It was so windy that we ended up in the reeds which was funny and there was me thinking that if only I could squeeze back into the wetsuit I could rig a sail and set out on the windsurf board! The girls loved it even after all the wibbling and wobbling (and I am talking about the water!) Shock Horror I did not have my camera with me so don't have any pics to share.

Product: Papermania Henbury Lane A5 Paper Pack, Papermania Bluetit wooden stamp,
Papermania silver gems, Papermania Water colour pencils.

On Sunday I headed across the other side of Scotland to demo at Cardwell Nursery, again I was gobsmacked at seeing another wonderfully filled craft store and still asking the question .... WHY, is there nothing over this side!!

Product: Card Made from Do Crafts Goody Bag, papers are Henbury Lane

It was good to meet some more crafters and show them all the new product that has been launched this month with Do Crafts. Henbury Lane is proving to be a favourite as is the A4 decoupage kit with Bramble and Hawthorn.

Product: Daisy and Dandelion A4 decoupage pack with Bramble and Hawthorn.

And whilst on cards here is one that I made with a selection of the My Little Shoe box papers. I'm loving easel cards and the way you can really make your designs pop! I couldn't resist putting the wee butterflies onto wire so they really looked like they were fluttering!

Product: My little shoe box Imaginery friends : Knock Knock, All a Flutter : Wings and Things, Flutterby, Social Butterfly, MLS Mini Alphabet Stickers, Anitas pink spotty ribbon, Papermania red hot buttons, Papermania card springs.

Well I seriously need some shut eye, thanks for popping by

Demo Busy!

We had such a fantastic bank holiday weekend with friends over on the west coast of Scotland where we cycled loads and spent time finding sea glass and shells down the beach. Dh and I went out for a cycle and ended up on the point of one of pennisula. It was breath taking! I told hubby that I would love to live somewhere like this, looking out to sea with amazing views and inspiration. The only thing is the midgies! Then my week was b.u.s.y! The new launch of products from Do Crafts means lots of demos and as the new Creativity! magazine hits the shelves the next one is already in the making. Commissions and deadlines loomed so I set to work using some fabulous new things that will be available in July.
On Friday I was demoing at Flawless Designs in Sterling and then of Saturday and Sunday I wasover in Glasgow at Craftworld. I had such fun and met fantastic ladies (and gents) who were loving all the new product this loop. I'm not sure what my favourite is as it's hard to choose but out of all the cards I made I think I love this one the most! Don't you just love the picket fence!
Papers: Papermania Henbury Lane, Large Sunflower and Greeting: Papermania Build a Sunflower Stamp, 3D Border: Sunflowers

And the chipboard albums at just £2.99 are a steal!
