A little treasure

Back in the October when Autumn was beginning, we took a break up to one of our favourite places in Scotland .... The Cairngorm National park.  This place is filled with hidden treasures and while out walking we stumbled across this beautiful look out over a few lochs that we have visited before. I loved the colours of Autumn beginning to show in the valley below and the way my daughter just kept looking out while perched on top of the crags.

I used the hearts and stars Blue Daze paper for my background as I loved the colour and the wee hearts really show how much we adore finding places like this.

The Happy Days papers and die cut sentiments fitted perfectly too along with the Fundamentals wood veneer adding again little touches of what you are wanting to say about the photo but not detracting from it.

The clear sentiment stickers are a firm favourite of mine and can be used to add simple statements.  Here I used some to border the edge of one of the corners.  They are so simple to add to any of your crafts.

It's all about Dad!

Hello there, wow where is the year going it seems to be flying in! We are in June already and this month we celebrate Father’s day and unlike Mother’s day I think that it falls on the same day worldwide!! I am here today to share with you some cards for those special men in your life …

With this card I used the little journal panels which can be found on the ??? 12 x 12 sheet and added some chipboard letters. The Country Cookin’ twine looked brilliant wrapped around it before backing it on some more paper. The little wood vaneer stars are just too cute not to use!

This next card is inspired by my football (or soccer!) loving brothers! I cut some hexagons in the Fundamental ?? paper and then glued them to a circle card, trimming off the excess. You can also make your own zig zag greetings by cutting strips from the paper. Then, using the Fundamentals Baby stamps , stamp them in the middle.

Mixing Old and New Ruby Rock-It!

With all the lovely new ranges from Ruby Rock-It that were released at CHA show this winter we mustn't forget all the older ranges and today I am here to share with you a few cards mixing the new Rustic Charm range and the Bella! Fusion paperz.

For this card I used the green fusion paperz as the backing paper.  I love the way that it picks up the glittery green bird on the 3D stickers in the Rustic Charm collection.

Even though the Rustic Charm is one of the wedding ranges it can be used for any occasions.  I used the rose backing papers to create feminine feel for this birthday card.

The last card is using the purple Bella! Fusion Paperz and the Fundamentals Vellum to create this Valentines card.

Flower Girl

As I said yesterday the Fundamental Vellums just go so well with the wedding lines and here I used it as a backing for my photo.  This piece is a silver colour and the flowers are 'see through'.  The vellum tears beautifully too for some added effects.

There are so many gorgeous flowers too that Ruby  Rock-it do and the yellow ones were perfect for adding to the layout like a mini bouquet.  Along with them I punched out some daisies from the paper in the Get Hitched Mini Papers.

I am loving the wood effects too that are on this paper.  I cut some of the wood circles out and used them as embellishments.  Can you spot one of my fav things that RRBF released at CHA??  Yes those gorgeous wood vaneer letters!  Oh you are going to want the whole range of them!

Stargazer Lily Cards

Today I am here to share my creations using the Bella! My Romance collection.  Even though they are wedding themed they can be used for any occasion.  I teamed this with the Spellbinders Build a Stargazer Lily die to create these everyday cards

This birthday card was made using some of the 'left overs' from other projects and I attached them to one of the Fundamentals Imprint cards.  I die cut a flourish out of the Fundamentals vellum to give it a delicate touch.

For the next card I decided to use the Fundamentals decoupage to create an aperture card.  I put the frame on the front of the card and drew around the inside.  I then cut along the lines before adding the frame.  I built up the rest of the decoupage and put it in the inside of the card before embellishing the rest of the card.

And finally I used a stamp and some embossing powders from the WOW to create the background before building up the rest of the card.
