Jolly Holly Holidays

It is day 7 of the My Little Shoebox Holly Jolly fun and today is my turn to show you what I created with this fab collection! It really is bright and cheerful and full of festive cheer.
I made a wreath and having to be different opted for a non traditional shape!! The scallop paper was a perfect backdrop.

Once I cut out the circle in the middle by using a side plate, I added some acetate on the back so I had a firm base to work on. Around the edge of the circle is looped strips of paper.
I rummaged in my sizzix dies and found some original dies to cut out some leaves and branches as well as holly leaves from card stock and the green dotty paper which I adhered around the central circle too!

The snowmen are from the card stock sticker sheet and I added them at different heights to create some depth.

** Tip ** To remove the 'stickiness' from the back of the stickers so they won't stick where you don't want them, sprinkle the back with talc and lightly rub over the sticker. The stick will be gone and you'll also be left with a lovely smell as a bonus!!

To finish off I sprayed the whole wreath with Pearl Glimmer Mist which gives it a lovely shimmery shine.

I hope this has inspired you to make a wreath for your door this Christmas!
Don't forget to check out all the other projects from the MLS DT and leave a comment on the {MLS blog} to be in for a chance of winning two of your favourite collections from MLS!!

This is my favorite wreath ever! I love that you don't have to buy anything to make it. (Like a wreath base). How did you get the ribbon to stand up? What did you attach the looped paper to? Sorry for all the questions but I just love this idea!
