Wow Monday already! Why is it weekends go so fast? Well for me Monday is my day off, 'kinda' as some Saturdays I am out and about demo-ing for DO Crafts.
This weekend I was showing people how to use the Xcut Build A Scene dies and the gorgeous {Vintage Notes.}
The Vintage Notes papers have a beautiful linen feel to them and there are lots of stunning little embellishments that coordinate with the range .. my favs being the lace trims, crochet flowers (thank goodness as I won't have a clue how to make my own!!) and the little pins!
I have already shared a card with the Xcut dies the {Vintage Balloon Die} can be seen {HERE} . I also have made a layout with the {Nautical} one for an upcoming episode of CCTV on DoCrafts, stay tuned!
But I would like to share this scene I created with the {London} die.
As soon as the dies landed in my hands I set to work cutting out the backdrop for my scene. When I removed the die I couldn't see London at all! Staring right back at me was Edinburgh Castle! I then used the other dies to make the Wallace Monument and the Big Wheel that settles into Princess Street twice (or more) a year! As the bus die was then made into the Lothian Buses by simply using some cream and burgundy card stock.
I love how it turned out and think I'll be doing a take on {Becky James'} framed London picture in the latest magazine where she made a stunning scene by cutting it out all in white, but of course it will be Edinburgh for me! Becky has also shared some creations on her blog using the {Garden Party} set
Have a Happy Monday!
Beckie :)
